Peter Pellerito, President and Chief Executive Officer
Peter Pellerito received his B.S. in Radiology from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He continued his education through The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the GE Welch Leadership Development Program. Mr. Pellerito is President and CEO of ImaCor and a veteran of the medical imaging industry. Mr. Pellerito brings two decades of leadership to ImaCor’s management team. Most recently, Mr. Pellerito served as President and CEO of ONI Medical Systems, where he successfully doubled the business globally and sold ONI to GE Medical Systems in 2009. Prior to that role, Mr. Pellerito served as Vice President and General Manager for GE Healthcare’s ultrasound business, where he grew the business from $35 million to over $450 million in sales. Before GE, Mr. Pellerito rose to the position of Worldwide Director and Vice President at Advanced Technology Laboratories where he held leadership positions in product development, sales, marketing, and operations.
Scott L. Roth, MD, FACC; Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Scott Roth holds a B.A. in biology, summa cum laude, and an M.D. from Boston University. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Hospital and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Roth has been practicing medicine for over 20 years and is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, and the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. Dr. Roth maintained a private echocardiography practice for 20 years until taking over as CEO of ImaCor. Dr. Roth co-founded ImaCor and now serves as Chief Medical Officer. He has published a dozen articles in the fields of cardiology and echocardiography. He is a founding board member of the New York Echocardiography Society and was the former Director of Adult Echocardiography at the Harris Chasanoff Heart Institute at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Harold Hastings, PhD; Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer
Dr. Harold Hastings holds a B.S. in mathematics, summa cum laude, from Yale University and an MA and Ph.D. in mathematics from Princeton University. Dr. Hastings was both a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Princeton. He recently retired from serving as a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Physics at Hofstra, where he is now Professor Emeritus. Dr. Hastings also served as co-director of Hofstra’s Center for Arrhythmia Research. Prior to his current appointments, he was chairperson of the mathematics department at Hofstra University. Dr. Hastings holds 10 patents in ultrasound and the medical device field and has published over 100 articles in the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, and medicine. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Hastings co-founded ImaCor and serves as the Chief Technology Officer, working closely with the VP of Research and Development and the Director of Software Development.
E. Paul Harhen, VP of Research & Development
Paul Harhen holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University. Prior to joining ImaCor, Mr. Harhen served as the Director of Engineering for Transurgical, Inc. (now ProRhythm). At Transurgical he developed a line of innovative medical devices using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), as well as a proprietary interventional MRI guidance system. Before Transurgical, Mr. Harhen was Vice President of Operations and General Manager for Vision Sciences, Inc. where he redesigned the company’s core product and directed manufacturing and product development. Prior to his entrepreneurial experiences, Mr. Harhen spent 12 years in management roles at Johnson & Johnson in research and development, manufacturing process design and operations. He holds over 20 patents in the fields of ultrasound and endoscopy. Mr. Harhen is responsible for all engineering activities at ImaCor. Under his technical leadership the ImaCor device has moved from a theoretical concept to a market-ready device. He currently leads a team of 5 engineers.
Dipak Rajhansa, VP of Sales & Marketing
Dipak Rajhansa holds a B.A. in political science from Washington University and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. Prior to joining ImaCor, Mr. Rajhansa served as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager of Hand Innovations, LLC. While at Hand Innovations, Mr. Rajhansa was named Regional Manager of the Year for achieving the highest growth rate, highest penetration rate, and top sales in 2005. Hand Innovations was subsequently acquired by Depuy Orthopedics in January 2006. Prior to Hand Innovations, he was Director of Product Marketing at U.S. Surgical Corp. where he developed the AutoSonix product line and was responsible for managing various endoscopic product lines with worldwide revenues of $400 million. Mr. Rajhansa has also held VP of Sales & Marketing positions at Orthosurgical Implants, Inc. and Ortheon Medical. As VP of Sales & Marketing, he leads the sales and clinical teams.
Brandon von Tobel, MD, MA; VP of Finance & Operations
Dr. Brandon von Tobel holds a B.A. in Economics, Biology, and French, magna cum laude from Columbia University, an M.A. in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an M.D. on a Trustee Scholarship from the University of Miami. After medical school, Dr. von Tobel valued, structured, and managed portfolio investments as an Associate at the $250 MM medical device-focused venture capital fund WFD Ventures LLC. During his tenure at WFD Ventures, Dr. von Tobel worked very closely with ImaCor’s Executive team throughout the FDA approval process and during the development of the sales launch strategy. He joined ImaCor as the VP of Finance & Operations to oversee day-to-day activities and to manage the Company’s finances.
Nicolas Heron, Director of Software Development
Nicolas Heron holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Institut Superieur d’Electronique du Nord (ISEN) in Lille, France. Mr. Heron joined ImaCor in 2004 as Director of Software Development. He provides technical vision and leadership to develop the Zura software and is responsible for the direction of ImaCor’s software products and technologies. Prior to joining ImaCor, Mr. Heron worked as a lead software engineer and project manager for DataCore Software where he was responsible for user interface, product design and development. Before DataCore Software, Mr. Heron was a software engineer at Logica plc. and Matra BAe Dynamics.
Richard Lanzillotto, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance
Richard Lanzillotto holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and brings 25+ years of RA/QA experience. Mr. Lanzillotto has been the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at ImaCor Inc. since 2005. Prior to joining ImaCor Mr. Lanzillotto has held positions as the RA/QA specialist for numerous medical device manufacturers and is responsible for approximately 30 medical device marketing clearances internationally (FDA, Health Canada, CE). He has managed numerous compliance issues including Quality system design and implementation, FDA warning letter and 483 report resolutions, strategized labeling and submission processes and regulatory due diligence for acquisitions. Mr. Lanzillotto’s experience includes Medical Device companies such as Philips Medical Systems, GE Medical Systems, and numerous smaller companies.
